u should have tested against the m1 instead of an intel. all i wanted to know is how much more powerful the new m2 8k media engine was against the m1 media engine.

If I get an M2 Macbook Air with 24GB of Ram and 2TB of storage, will the XAVC S-I 4K codec run smoothly (withOUT proxies) on Premiere Pro?

I bought the M2 13inch with 16GB and 1tb hard drive I was excited about it until I saw this video. Now I’m like shit should I take this back? I’m a full stack developer and I just got into editing videos for sports documentaries and i thought this was the next best thing to having a pro max.

I already use a 55inch 4k tv as my second screen and I have an iPad Pro with side car so I’m good on dual screens.

Should I just relax and keep my M2 or am I right for having these second thoughts???

I need the 13 pro because it has a fan, I edit 4k Dci and 6k Anamorphic on my Final cut for 4-5 hours so the Air won’t make sense for me. I have a dongle for the more ports. But I only need it for on the road because I have a M1 Mac mini at home

Just recently purchased a MacBook, suppose it was on impulse I wanted a portable editing platform rather than my dedicated Desktop. I’m having problems downloading Premiere pro, after signing into creative cloud. It almost seems as if it’s incompatible. Don’t see myself buying another editing platform. Any resolve?

Nice video. I’d like to see yo u do the MacBook Air Video. I just bought one and I haven’t opened it because I’m thinking about taking it back and getting the 13″ Pro. I’ve watched a ton of videos and I’m getting mixed messages about the throttling on the air, and choppy scrubbing while editing. I’m not yet confident I can even make money doing video, so I’m on a budget with equipment.

When I started seeing reports that the soc m2 was out preforming intel main cpus on video rendering times I was sold and got a mbp m2 base model 😉
