I very much like the Touch Bar. The row of fixed function function key is singularly useless by comparison. I do miss the mag-safe power connector. Self proclaimed “pros” hatred for the Touch Bar looks anything other than professional to me. I hope that Apple will keep the Touch Bar around. Maybe even make the fixed row of function keys an extra cost option on “pro” models.

Just confirming that the Wintel laptop died in early 2021, in the middle of COVID-19 restrictions, but I was able to order MacBook AIR online and pick it up from the Apple Store that same day. In summary, having a device in stock and ‘ready to go’, far outweighs waiting for the new model to come available in a month or two.

Even in 2022 macbook pro display is not XDR display so its not a great machine as far as display is concerned

M2, MBP, 2TB or Surface Laptop Studio photographer needs advice

Hello everyone I am a photographer and I’m torn. I’m looking to upgrade from a Surface Book 2.

I was looking at a Surface Laptop Studio 32Ram, i7, and 2Tb.

But then I saw the Mac
Apple M2 chip with 8‑core CPU, 10‑core GPU, 16‑core Neural Engine
24GB unified memory
2TB SSD storage

So currently I use Photoshop, Capture One, and Lightroom.

Now I shoot weddings, portraits, and events. I am looking what will be the best?
