The tone of this channel has turned into clickbait ‘gotcha’ that is no longer useful, it’s just trying to draw attention with absolutely no balance to the ‘facts’ you suggest you are presenting. None of these scenarios represent the user community these products are designed for. Creating test scenarios designed for the most powerful machine to rage against the entry level platform is ridiculous. Unsubscrube
This is apple milking the apple fans who are not that techinical.
I just bought an official-refurbished M1 13 pro this March and I am happy with it.
I got mine last week without knowing it would be a rip off. I’m getting my refund on Amazon
Macbook 2022 would be a better name. Price at $1099
0:52 i dont agree, cause i think it could be due to the new isp based on the A15 design.
how about samsung pro 360 with m2 … what u think ?
which one better
I wonder if this nonsense with the 256gb sad is due to supply chain issues. I can’t imagine Apple wanted to release it that way.
Still a fail though.
I also don’t really understand why the M2 MBP even exists. Did Apple have a bunch of the 13in MBP chassis already sitting around or something? Who would choose this over the new Air? If you need to do actual pro things, you’re going to get the 14in MBP, so who is the 13 really for?
The base model 14in drops to 1750 on sale at Best Buy / Amazon / B&H sometimes. Seems a better option to spend a bit more for that than to get an upgraded 13in M2 MBP.
Apple’s product management is screwing up the entire Macbook line. What’s the point of having 13, 14, 15 (soon), and 16 inches of screens? Then there’s the overlap between the Air and the Pro that runs against pricing. On top of that, we now we have the M1 vs M2 issue in certain scenarios. Too many choices aren’t freedom; they’re consumers’ confusion.
We should start a #returnbasem2pro movement so Apple really gets to pay for their horrible decision.
Damn, so maybe planning to buy things based on rumors alone is actually a BAD IDEA???????
Great review…. You have earned my subscription ….. please review the new M2 MacBook Air vs M1 MacBook Air , especially the based model with 256g……. Thanks
Do the m2 MacBook pro ssd become complaint fast
Apple must know the performance of the M2 vs M1. Assuming “cmichael85” is correct (and no reason to think otherwise) the SSD new configuration seems to be the culprit which Apple must be aware of. Once again, it seems industry is taking a step backwards in order to be more efficient in production. I really don’t like the fact that Apple is misleading the consumer with a faster M2 chip but a slower machine because of SSD redesign. Of course, if the consumer still keeps buying the newest and greatest then Apple will continue to dupe consumers into paying more for less.
I was waiting for reviews of this and the Air M2, but have now decided to go with the base MacBoook Pro 14″, with a 1Tb SSD upgrade. Even if the Air M2 is decent I want 16Gb RAM and 1Tb SSD, and by the time you add those upgrades you are so close to the 14″ that it seems silly not to get that instead given the slightly bigger screen, better quality screen, speakers etc. Reckon I’ll notice the difference over the MacBook Pro late 2013 model it’s replacing? 😉
Your use case is very specific and probably very few people would be in that category, the only test I would be interested is to see how the M2 performs using lightroom for phot o editing , and I would venture to say the majority of the use cases (beyond the group that buys just to surf the net) would be in this category or some typical video editing, so I question why you are doing that extreme test before doing the bread and butter one ….I recognize that you got something that may be of value……..once the MBA is out, I am ordering that one with 16GB and 1TB and will do a proper testing on my use case, until then., all that you are claiming here is not that relevant for me ……
Does this M2 SSD issue only apply to the base configuration? If I upgrade the M2 SSD to a larger one, does the speed issue go back to M1 speeds?
The bald headed guy brought me here.
hello sir can we edit 8k videos in this laptop????
I think no one would get the M2 pro, but the YouTubers :)))))
