The touchbar has so much potential but somehow Apple is not paying much attention to it. It can’t even behave as a stream deck where “Hot Buttons” can be easily pressed to trigger shortcuts to automate tasks. If apple brought more functionality to it and enlarge the touchbar for better viewing, it would really set themselves apart from other laptops.

Should I get the MBA M1 with 16gb ram or the M2 with 8gb ram? According to the apple site, it would be in the similar price range so I kinda have no idea which one to choose.
Btw, I am a college student who will use this macbook for my 6 year course schoolworks. I’m also a youtube vlogger so I’d edit photos and videos. For leisure, I would watch movies and do light gaming as well. Which MBA is the best for me? (first time macos user 🙂 )

Which is impressive is that it’s more powerful (even if it’s near 20%) by consuming the SAME power compared to M1
Where others brands are being more powerful but consuming MORE power

I have the Macbook Pro and it is still plenty for most people, btw keywords most people depend on their uses. Of coarsely I would like an M2 I am better off waiting for now

Enjoyed your balanced review. Other reviewers seem so bent out of shape at the older design language, and I roll my eyes at every over-sensitive reviewer’s fetish about bezels. I prefer to think of the 13″ MBP as the comfortable, familiar machine — but now with improved internals. I’ve owned many 13″ MBP units over the years, and this one is my latest. Looking forward to many years of service out of my 24G 1T model. Good performance, active cooling, small package, and can pretend to be a less desirable to steal older unit. All good things for a professional with a mobile lifestyle.

Hello man thanks for the great reviews. I really love the Macbook Air M2 and the design, but i need to export thousands of jpgs in a hurry. Do you recommend the Air for me or should I go for the macbook pro 13 instead? Price difference is big here… Do you think the Air throtlle a lot exporting pictures in Lightroom for lots of hours? thanks
