Honestly I don’t agree with the final part. Apple can sell old designs in new hardware because those designs were good designs in the first place. Also dell does, like someone already noted, sell old designs with new hardware, and if you think about it, also Microsoft with surface lineup (the pro 8 changed when it didn’t change at all for 4 generations, and even before those it was barely any different). So it’s more about making designs that will last long rather than the rest that you mentioned in the final considerations. that MacBook won’t look as modern as current competition, but it still looks damn good 👌🏻

The bitter truth: we have arrived at a comfort spot at 2016, where we had a sleek design, great audio and screen quality and why changing it? Maybe a lot of more conservative users will migrate to M2 13” inch model just to keep it casual or familiar to handle… let’s see the next episodes of this saga…

The only reason you are saying this is because Apple is the only one making a macOS device, That’s why they released this archaic hardware knowing fully well that their customer don’t have a choice. You can’t do that in Windows device land other competitors will eat your cake because we don’t make a blind purchase.

Being a m1 air owner, I have mixed feelings. The battery has been losing charging capacity in just one year, that’s not normal imo because I take care of the battery, and at 170 cycles my charging health is about 85%, that’s pretty bad. but apart from that, machine is working great. The m1 sill has some bugs and stuff sometimes, I don’t understand what’s going on with it. But it’s a pretty solid laptop. I am not paying apple over 1300 bucks for another m2, no way. I bought this because it was 999, and it was a good investment tbh.
