I’d like to have seen Apple drop the “Pro” moniker for this line.
Have the “MacBook Air” line which is M2 but fanless. The “MacBook” line which is M2 but with fans, and the “MacBook Pro” line which is the Max and Ultra lines (obviously with fans).

I feel like this would have been easier to market.

I think this will probably do well in the corporate market, not so much in the personal consumer market. Honestly, if they could just inject some air into the MacBook Air, this product wouldn’t exist. You’d think Apple engineers would relish at the challenge of creating the world’s thinnest air cooled system.

In short, students dont need this mbp13 because it is more expensive, workers dont need this either because they dont need inferior performance, even just within Apple’s own lineup.

You know, everyone I’ve met who owns a M1 Apple product has been extraordinarily positive about it. I don’t think i’ve ever seen people be so universally positive about a product.

I personally have no interest in Macbooks as I still require windows for some legacy support at work (.NET 4.0 blegh). Otherwise i’d buy one no hesistation.

Performance can’t overcome the awful user experience as a os…can’t even copy/move a file in finder from one location to another… worst OS I have ever used…
