Can someone tell me how many fps will this device get on League of Legends with all settings maxed out but shadow effects turned off? Thinking of getting one of these and League is the only game I play so if anybody knows I really appreciate it.
Feels like for those looking for a professional laptop, they should just wait for the M2 MBP 14″, if you’re not looking to do renders/movie editing/modeling then just go for M2 Air. If you play video games then just go Windows.

For real, open your eyes and look at the real estate you could get for what you pay on Apple products.

And “No!” , using a product that adds “Pro” to its name does not imply it’s a professional product let alone make you a professional for using it…

seems like an awesome product but I am torn between buying the new MacBook air and this Macbook pro. I do a lot of coding(ML related). What would you guys suggest?
Your whole argument is an equivocation. You are using the term ‘hardware’ in two distinct senses. ‘Hardware’ in the sense of computing components such as central processing unit, graphical processing unit, and random access memory, are very different from ‘hardware’ in the sense of aesthetic and ergonomic design. It is only in the second less important sense of ‘hardware’ that this computer can be considered old.
You’re right about businesses buying these. I work in a software company and no one I work with has any idea the difference between new vs old designs. Apple will sell millions of these

What I’m skeptical about this model is the touchbar. I don’t like this I hope they release Pro M2 without touchbar. The 14″ is still M1 and cost $500+ more
Anyone can help me decide, I’m a 3D Designer working mainly on Blender, and SketchUp (+vray/ enscape), currently using a Legion 5 with the GTX 1050ti. I’m thinking of an upgrade for long-term use. I have two options; Legion Slim 7 Ryzen 7 5800H RTX 3060 or a Macbook Pro M1 2020 or the M2. Both are priced similarly here in my country. I like to work in different places; home, cafe, etc. Eventually, I will need to carry it every day to the office using public transport. So a lighter machine will be preferable. Which one do you guys think is better between the two?

ive learned my lessons with these Macbooks. i use my laptop outside a bunch and all of these turn into furnaces and throttle horrendously because of the metal case. If they would make one of these without the metal i would be back in.
