I think this product has a very short lifespan and will be replaced with the new aesthetics and technology as the MacBook Air sooner than later‼️

People are so spoiled. Lol at it being old. The software is great. The screen was great and still is. The guts are new. The experience is more than just stats and figures. Tech jumps are so minor that 5 years isn’t a lot of time now. Big jumps become way more obvious after 10 years nowadays for certain devices.

I noticed something cool. Apple intentionally wanted reviewers to review the m2 macbook pros first, instead of the airs, as to build up a sense that the pro is really inferior to the air, plus all these people arguing brings in more traffic, which means more people will be anticipated for the m2 air reviews. Slick tactic!

loved the video, although I think you missed a key point. Compared to windows laptops Macs are built with greater quality. People know the hardware isn’t the latest but it’s still got the best trackpad, keyboard, and general built quality that they know will likely last 10 years

My theory about why the new 13″ pro exists is that it fills the price gap between the Air and the 14″ pro. I really wish Apple would just call it the “MacBook.” Then you’d have the MacBook Air, MacBook, and 14″ or 16″ MacBook pro.

This MacBook Pro 13″ is like iPhone SE. You get latest CPU tech inside old outdated body and other components like camera and screen.
Worst money vs. value but if you want to have cheaper performance Apple product, you can have it, but at many downsides in other aspects.

Why doesn’t anyone talk about certain use cases where ambient temps are like 30-40c. Surely a fan would be handy in those situation.

So they defer the die shrink from 5nm to 3nm that was originally planned for the “proper M2” to next time — to the M3 chip. I always assumed that I’d join the Apple Silicone party at the M3, in order to avoid any M1/2 teething issues.

But now I have a real reason to wait. The M2 is really only on the level of a “M1.5”. I know, lockdown recession and supply side and inflation and everything, but still it’s disappointing.

At least the Apple marketing will work, “M3 on 3nm” … nice alliteration , maybe they’ll call it the M3/N3 or the MN3 or even just the “N3”.

Considering we got a 30% increase in GPU on the same 5nm process, I’m super excited for the 3nm gains we’ll get on M3.
I already lust over an M3 Ultra (I currently have an M1 Ultra).
