I don’t think it’s so different, specially from a user experience perspective…this design is problematic but undeniable beautiful and ahead of it’s time. This 5 years window is pretty common with Apple, the first unibody design language was kept until the 2016 revision. Thinkpads from five years ago are very similar compared to the ones sold today, the XPS 15 still have a design from 2017 today….the 13 only received this look in 2022.

Well, it is old, but still the best computer 💻 they ever had. Designed by Love that case is so good. You can spend hours on that machine and your hands 🙌 will want more.
The new 14” after two hours is already cutting the palm of my hands and my lap is hot by that stove sitting on my legs. 👎👎

People should either get the M2 Air for lightweight laptop, or go for the M1 14″/16″ Pro for heavier tasks. Or if they can wait, then wait for next year M2 14″/16″ Pro. Don’t see much point in investing in these M2 13″ Pro.

This may be good for new Macbook users but not attractive enough for folks with >2018 Macbook Pros. I’m gonna be waiting for their M2 update for the 16 inch MacBook Pro

I would not buy this laptop, and you’ve said it: old tech for the price of new tech. I’d go for the Air and check for after market bottom covers for better ventilation.
