Two 3$ fans and 20dkg copper for heat sink.

Can we just finally delete both the Macbook Air & Pro, release a simple Macbook with 50$ above Air price that can do anything without getting above 100 celsius to die out in like 4 years?

Macbook naaaah – just in case Apple would change it’s security policy and you can install software from the Apple-store like on their mobile devices, there is not much alternatives that you can install on these machines. BTW the same could happen to window users, they just need to lock the secure boot in bios.

But that AMD 6800U machine had more RAM (16Gb vs 8Gb) and 512Gb fo SSD vs 256Gb. Not to mention OLED display.
Price wise, it beats the Apple offering and is very close in performance.
Question: Would you like slightly slower system but with double the storage (that you can even replace!) or the opposite?

$200 for 256 -512 upgrade it should be $20 . A gen4 256 cost $50 ,512 $70-75. Apple is charging 10x price for a slower drive which cannot be replaced. No matter how good their silicone is it’s useless what good is a gpu if u can’t play games. 14″vivobook pro 14 16/512 cost half m2air has a 2880*1800/90hz oled 5800h/rtx3050.

I guess m1 air is still the one to get this year specially that m2 one need to get the 512 ssd version that coast 1400 dollar
That I can take 8 core GPU 16gb RAM & 512 SSD version for the m1 air with the same price

I bought the HP Aero 13 with 2k display resolution last week, and I love it. The weight, the simplicity, the size, and the performance is more than enough for me as developer.
The only downside is the battery life, not that it’s short but I hope it can be longer.

On windows (programs) from he start so zero interest in apple. My Win laptop still runs ok. MSI Creator 15 4K OLED, 64GB, RTX 3060, 2.5TB. Sleek, simple.

Important to note is, that the asus zenbook s13 will probably also be heavily discounted like a few months after launch. I’m probably gonna be dumb and buy it before that though. It will support usb 4 in the future so that is kind of a game changer for amd devices

Why does the first graph show the M2 getting 48 FPS in GFXBench while the rest of the graphs shows it getting 38 FPS?

I feel the unlike the m1 macbook air the m2 is terrible value, you’d be better off getting the entry level 14″ pro instead.

Also at least where I live the old m1 air is not available anymore, you can only get it directly from apple.
