I’m eyeing the z13 oled instead of M2 MBA. If Apple didn’t raise M2 MBA’s price, it will be the only choice for me. So yeah, I agree with your conclusion.

Completely agree with the pricing. It’s a bummer they didn’t even budge the m1 MBA pricing at all. Yes it’s good enough to still keep up with current times but they lost the huge edge they had over Windows laptops. I would’ve hoped for the m1 to be $8-900 with the m2 being $1100

It’s all about the Operating System first. Choose whether you want Mac or Windows THEN choose hardware. That is why I’ve always found these cross platform comparisons to be sort of useless. I can’t believe that in this day and age there are people who “don’t care” which OS they want.

Same thoughts. Not sure if it is the chip shortage/supply chain constraints/inflation that’s causing it or just Apple’s bottom line..
I think it’s still the best when it comes to a fanless system. The other laptops are more like the MBP M2 since they have fans in them.
Will pass on an upgrade from my MBP M1 nonetheless, the gains just ain’t that significant to justify it.
