With the Intel 13th gen and AMD 7th Gen being more energy efficient than previous. I think the race will be closer in 2023.

Not to mention the Qualcomm nuvia but that seems to be further away.

For the battery tests, do the windows laptops use a low power profile with throttling?
I only just used a M2 machine and noticed that the default settings is full CPU power regardless of battery or power adapter; you have to change it over to low power mode on battery manually
I noticed a significant difference in battery life between them when the machine was under medium use or more.

Been using the xps 13 plus for the last 6 months, and let me tell you that the keyboard and trackpad are ass. Specifically the touch buttons at the top which force you to look down at your keyboard and the track pad which stops working for ~1min far too often, I got it for free off scholarship, but if I could trade it in for a Macbook, even an older model, I would.

I have the m1 and am a heavy user and I highly recommend the MacBook Air M1.

Don’t bother wasting your money getting the Air M2. For that price, get the pro.

I’m using an m1pro MacBook 14′ – an amazing product for work, especially during the blackouts in Ukraine, 8h of use in AE and Figma with many different background processes.

Laptop makers NEED To switch to AMD NOW. They are obviously still being paid off by intel, but AMD is faster, more efficient, cheaper. How are these companies so damn DENSE.

thanks. this review had benchmarks. I would not listen to a review that was a bunch of speculative marketing bs and there’s been so many of them on youtube it’s hard to know who’s just doing them to get paid
