Apple Silicon is #1. M1 or m2. Doesn’t matter. All other laptops are just fighting for #2. That’s about how simple it can get. Battery, weight, processor all goes to Apple Silicon. If you are not a basement dweller and actually use your laptop for your business, there really is no comparison. I was a Windows user for 15+ years. I took a risk with mba m1. I hated it. I hated that the ultimate laptop that I have been dreaming off was from Apple. But I couldn’t lie to myself, the specs speaks for itself. The m1 really is a game changer. First day of using macOS, I was b****ng to my gf how it was a crappy system. On the 3rd day, I got used to it already and haven’t opened my old laptop since. Turns out, I didn’t really need the function to change folder icons, I didn’t really need the REGEDIT, I didn’t really need the option to change my mouse pointer into a guitar. What I needed was a machine that delivers. A machine that will last the whole day. A machine that I could pull up at the side of the road to do some 10 minute emergency work while I am travelling in Thailand in the summer and not have to worry about battery life or overheating. If you are a digital nomad or someone who uses their laptop to make money online, go with the M1 or M2. It was made for us.

There is always a user like me, that wouldn’t use windows even if someone paid me for it.
Used it for 6 years through vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and 10. Finally said enough is enough.

For a new buyer, with no MacBook at ALL, would you suggest buying the M1 or M2? I see everyone saying it’s not worth the upgrade when you already have an M1. But is it worth it to just take the plunge and get the M2?

Apple is just crushing it. Always had sexy kit, but now… better performance, using less power, with SOLID screens/keyboards/World’s best trackpads/speakers/yadda-yadda-yadda, all SO PREMIUM for a modest cost? And then there’s the OS… LOVING IT over the past 2 years!

Still have my Win machines for gaming, but loving my Mac _also running some iPad apps I use all the time on it SO convenient!_

Touching the touch pad to activate a number pad is a Kool features on the Zen laptop. But I wonder how useful it is?
