Question for everyone here:
I’m looking to switch for the first time from windows PC to mac. I dont do much video/photo editing. Usually i do heavy internet usage (like 30 tabs running at once) plus the medical software/apps/programs i use for my patients at the hospital I work at.

Option A) Will the base model macbook air m2 be enough (8gb Ram/256gb SSD) for $1200?
Option B) Or will I need to upgrade to 16GB ram/512 GB SSD for $1600?
Option C) Best buy just put the Macbook pro 14in (with the M1 pro chip, 16gb/512 SSD) for $1750.

Thanks in advance for any advice

I LOVE the M2 Air design, but the price point just puts it in such a tough spot. So now I wait and get nothing… again. LOL

You can buy Grade A M1 MacBook Airs on ebay for 699. They still have a 1 year warranty. A mate got one. The tiniest mark next to one of the feet. Basically brand new for 699.

And the competition well get even better next year when AMD launch AMD Ryzen 7000 series and intel launch 13th gen and (hopefully) 14th gen series to compete with Apple M2 series and (possibly) M3 series!

It would’ve been fine if it started at like 1099 cause yk, inflation, but 1299 for 8GB RAM and a slower 256 SSD? Nahh, I’d rather save up for a few more months and get the base 14 inch pro.
