Dave I think u messed up the GFXBench graphs — you had m2 MBA at 48.3 for the first chart then 38.3 for the rest.

Why isn’t anyone talking about how and upgraded m2 16GB RAM compares to a 14” m1 MBP. Performance wise how are they, price wise they’re pretty close

How come GFXBench for the M2 was 48 when compared to the M1 (at 2:07) but listed lower at 38 when compared to the XPS 13 Plus (at 3:38)? It’s also wrong in the Zenbook GPU comparison (4:44). Big fan but kind of disappointing to see.

The fact that companies last year refused to have their laptops be compared to the M1 MacBook Air very much shows just how good the M1 Air was, and still is. It really shows that people who own the M1 Air should not have to worry about missing out on the latest and greatest

Meh, the problem with Air is that it runs MacOS which is good for boomers but a hard pass for me. If only mainstream Linux kernels would fully support the m1/m2 chips I would buy one…and wipe MacOS off because the Air build quality cannot be beat. However, Apple marketing works, I have never seen so many people buy $2k+ laptops just to read emails, use office productivity apps, browse the web and pretend to be a DJ/”influencer.”

I get why boomers in I.T. use it, they get to larp being an employee at a silicon valley startup or pretend to work for Google but I just don’t understand the rest of people who buy $2k+ Apple laptops. I get spending $999 if you browse the web, use office apps and read emails, totally makes sense because Apply has the build quality that windows laptops just lack.

I’d say imagine the XPS was an AMD solution. Would be a much better product, but we all know about Intel and Dell’s relationship. Great video and great points. It’s unfortunate Apple raised the price.
