Hey, when comparing battery life, do you take into consideration the battery capacity of two laptops? I was wondering if the xps 13 plus came with a 99Wh battery, wouldn’t it get double its battery life.

In a real sense, Apple DID drop the price on the M1 MacBook Air. Given inflation, an unchanged price is a tangible discount. Also, we got an M1 MacBook Air for $850 on Black Friday last year. Almost certain to be discounted again this year at multiple points.

I think that by not changing the price they, in effect, have actually reduced the price. With inflation the way it is, the new one comes in close to the same as the old did at release.

windows laptops are constantly on sale tho. You can buy a 2000 dollar laptop with 1500-1600 on sale. I saw gigabyte aero 16 on sale to $1599 with specs 12th i7, 3070ti, 4k60hz screen, 16ram and 1tb ssd, like two weeks earlier. That’s within the price range of m2 mac air. Would you prefer mac air in this case?

The one thing I haven’t seen anybody mention in regards to pricing is Apple accounting for massive inflation on the US dollar in the last two years, with more to come. To me because of this it feels like $1200 now is pretty close if not slightly more than what $999 was worth two years ago. Basic economics for Apple wanting to continue making their margins, and it also explains why they didn’t drop the price of the M1

I would’ve bought the 8c cpu 8c GPU M1 MacBook Air with the magnetic connector charger port new screen faster charging with the same cooling system 513gb ssd with 8/16gb option as the M1 Air basically M1 macbook Air with upgrades of M2 MacBook Air

Macbook Air M2 should have been $999 and the M1 discounted to something like $849.
However you can still get a M1 MBA at a great discount from other re-sellers currently if you look around.

The M2 is not at all what Apple wanted. Work at the Blender consortium showed they needed graphics processor work and that means ray tracing. Plans for an M2 in 3nm were put on hold, and the basics of the M2 were put into 5nm for now. Things are starting to work out, so expect a real barn stormer 3nm M3 with ray tracing early next year.

Dell is one of the worst laptop I have ever got to myself and for my friend…. its hardware quality is fully garbage. Battery life is just 1 year and after that timespan its battery gives very less time. The speaker quality is shit…
