Thanks for the video. I wonder, what you can recommend me to buy – ThinkPad carbon x1 gen 10 or Dell xps 13 plus 9320 for writing, working with Microsoft office, watching movies etc. I am not going to use a laptop for gaming.
Fan noise?
I can go both ways, but I still like windows multi-tasking much much more!
it’s funny how you re comparing a nonfan big tablet with 2 windows pc 😀
Uncle Mike you’re a breath of fresh air! Love your user-centric reviews. Been binge watching your vids
I love the way you explain the things,I hope soon you will get 1m subscribers, much love and stay safe
I returned my M2 mainly because I didn’t like the screen other than during daytime; For lower lighting cases it gave me a headache. The whole keyboard vibrated when any sound were played :E I also felt it didn’t open far enough for my liking; I always found myself wanting to stretch it beyond its max. And typing experience wasn’t good; several keys were missed all the time, especially caps lock was working 1/3 of the key clicks.
For a Gnu Linux user choice is simpler, buy whatever gives you more freedom, and Crapple scam is not an option.
If you need two screens…use a Mac mini…throw it in your bag and take it to the next place …
I subscribed due to the face that the host is an fellow Manchester United FC fan
Try Parallels for the Mac. I use it to run windows on my macs and it’s flawless. Dare I say it runs windows better than most windows PCs. Side by side integration. Best of both worlds.
the problem with the xps is the battery life
Dell has only one problem that it’s sorting out, best experience with a reasonable price. With a high price anyone can make a great laptop. It’s all about how reasonable you are.
Been a windows fan boy all my life and loved my xps 9350 since 2016. Decided to finally switch to a macbook. The pros are just too good. Specially the battery life as I spend a lot of my time coding whilst traveling out and about. No longer will i have to bring my charging cable in my bag and worry about the seats with the charging sockets all being used up. For gaming I always have my Windows desktop at home!
For me, the lack of dual screen support on the Macbook is super disappointing. I like / need dual monitor support. Still on the fence, but leaning XPS.
Yes, I need the best one to start my 6 figures little mammy ok. Make sure you help me choice the best one.
The Dell xps 13 plus is such a terrible laptop! The constant overheating issues will slow down the computer, Fans will run non-stop like a jet engine, Part of the haptic trackpad will stop working, Battery life is 2-5 hours depending on usage! I highly do not recommend this xps 13 plus model. The regular xps 13 is so much better! The Lenovo yoga 9i & 7i is so much better than the xps 13 plus by a lot!
Damn after that monitor argument I can’t help it but suscribe. As someone that works from home, and is really considering on buying a laptop for job on the go, I deeply HATE apple for what they’ve done with the monitor limitation, and how I enter the site hopíng to spend around 1000 dollars and leave wanting to spend 2000. It’s outrageous
I MUCH prefer windows computers but i will most likely be making the jump to apple because of battery life and general longevity.
I’ve recently returned to school and i understand why most students use macs – the battery life. Plus everyone i talk to who has and uses mac computers has had it for years, i usually end up replacing my windows laptops every 3 – 4 years. Im hoping if i go for either the m1 or m2 macbook air that ill get atleast 6 or 7 years out of it (basically the duration of my program).
You get hdmi adapters online that plug into the usb c port to allow it to plug into a large monitor which will be great for home use.
Just buy one larger screen. Much better.
