Come on guys, let’s get our favorite Tech Reviewer up to 10K subs!
How about the samsung book pro 2 13″ , do you think it’s a valid contender?
Oh my god. I can’t choose. They’re great in their own way. 😅 Nice video, and more to go. 😇
Great video thanks! is it possible to also tell us your thoughts on the new Dell XPSs with Linux (Ubuntu)? They are lunching both 9315 and plus models with Linux. Thanks..
By the way, I’d recommend you to use some music from NCS or something which is copyright free!
I’d love to know what you’re favorite windows laptop is, great video btw!
Awesome Mike !
Mike, I need some help. I’m entering law school and my undergraduate laptop is very outdated. So, I’m looking for a laptop that’ll get me through the next 3 years without any major hiccups. I’ve been doing my research and I’m stuck between the current XPS 13 and the Air M1 (I think the M2 is not worth a 20% price increase). I’m not a huge fan of MacOS but the computer looks reliable and seems like it will last. I’m not sold on the XPS 13, however, since it’s pricier than the M1 overall. Do you think I should just run with the MacBook Air since it’s cheaper than the Dell, or am I better off sticking with Windows OS and paying ~$100 more?
First of all, I gotta say I love your videos man.
Also, I would like your opinion (or anyone who would like to comment) because I’m choosing between buying the new xps 13 and the M1 macbook air since I have a budget around $1100 for a laptop for college. The M2 just goes past my budget. I am studying an engineering so I don’t know if the MacOS is going to be that big of a barrier.
it would be interesting if you compare Samsung Book 2 pro vs Dell xps vs HP Specter in your next video.
Jeeze, this has been the most difficult choice for me. I’ve been using the XPS 9360…(I think that’s the number, it came out in 2018 and I got mine in early 2019), and I agree with you to one hundred percent about Dell and their track pads, mine literally feels like it’s breaking every time I go to use it (Not to mention screen flicker, finger print scanner not always picking up my print, battery has gone downhill, etc.) So I’m stuck now between the M2 and the 9320, I’ve been a windows user all of my life, I don’t game on my laptop and the only office app I use on a daily basis is Microsoft Word. I’m open to Mac OS because I have an iPhone but truth be told, Android has been calling to me. Any advice Mike?
I bought the M2, your video confirms it was the best way to go for me. Thanks
Loved your take on this. I just got my xps 9315 delivered today. It’s 12th gen i7 with 16 GB RAM. It’s bottom got hot after using for barely 30 minutes.
MacOS is not an option for me.
Question – what if we throw Surface pro 8 in the equation? Or should I wait for Surface pro 9? I love it’s flexibility and the fact that it’s fans and hot to touch area is kept away from the user’s lap and hands
PS: I learned about Surface series on your channel for the first time lol. Thanks for doing what you’re doing. This channel is bound to take off big time.
Mike keep up the hard work. You have a great channel! Your subscriber base should take off!
Another Amazing M2 MacBook Air Video by the “Movie Star”…..Excellent Work & Bravo to you Sir….🙃👻👽
I konw its very personal preference based, but I’m looking for a laptop with around a max price of $1300. I don’t want an apple. I’m looking for something with 16Gb of ram hopefully and a decent battery life. If the best thing available means jumping up $200 or whatever as long as it pays off in the long run, then I’ll do it. This is something I need to last me several years. Any recommendations? Will be using it for college, little bit of gaming, and its gonna get alot of hours in. Would like to get a machine that lasts a while since I am putting this much money into it, but I know Laptops don’t last that long lifespan wise. Thanks for any advince.
I enjoyed the review. I ended up going with the XPS 9315 and selling my M1 air. I needed 16gb ram and Apples memory prices are outrageous. Slower chip but more memory and storage make way more of a difference for my workload. It also came with free accidental damage protection and wireless mouse.
Upgrade prices make the 9315 seem an easy choice to me. i7, 16gb ram, 512gb for same price as the MBP M2 with 8gb and 256gb (after student discounts)
So which is best. i have two choices MacBook Air m1 and Dell XPS 13 9315, which one should i buy as a software developer.
Best way to overcome the MBA one external monitor limitation is an ultrawide. I use a cheap LG 29″ FHD that I bought for $159. Coupled with Magnet, I love the setup. It’s like having three monitors when I need it (with the MBA screen) and having extra screen real estate when I don’t. Switching back and forth is a simple as a screen shortcut. Eventually, I will probably upgrade to a 34″ QHD ultrawide for better resolution but I don’t miss multi-monitor support on the Mac. Hopefully, Apple will overcome this limitation sometime soon but until then, this is a great solution.
