The games are not optimized for the chipset. That is the issue. It is designed to “ throttle” that’s the whole point of the Apple silicon. To optimize in order to avoid overload and increase balance, battery life etc. there isn’t really any surprises here.

What you showed on WOW is barely real game play. In instance there are tons of objects each with its own effects and movement. You showed 2 objects on the screen. Often there are dozens. (No wonder all the benchmarks do not mean that much.)

Will my m1 air base model get ruined if I play gta on it? I was playing yesterday and it seemed to run fine but I’m not that technical to know the little details can someone help?

Hi. Yes m2 macbook air runs gta 5 perfectly. I started use this machine base model. Sometimes play gta 5 normal settings. With a pretty basic notebook cooler. Its getting hot but not much. This give my laptop a damage? Thanks everyone!.

I played dota 2 air base model for 2hr max temp 67 medium settings 55fps it drain battery 35% for 2hr and it doesn’t feel hot actually, than I played mbp14 base for 50 min 90fps it drain 30% battery for 50 min max temp 87 and it fell so hot

quite tired of streamers going to most useless areas in WoW (released in 2008) and declare 60 fps is possible, do they even see the poor textures and lack of any effects in these starting areas?
