Problem with telling people to not get 10core GPU is it’s standard on 512gb model if you can wait over a month to get your laptop yes 8c and 8c with 16Gb of Ram and 256gb ssd is the spec to get but the wait times are atrocious

I had the M2 Air specced out near the base model 14 Pro, but eventually traded it in for the 14 Pro. I do a lot of creative work, and though the M2 Air can handle it, I found myself physically leaning in towards the screen more so i can see the timeline; as opposed to just comfortably sitting back with the 14 Pro. For me the 14 size makes a great difference. M2 Air is a beast no doubt, but the extra screen real estate was an essential for creative workflow.

I don’t do video editing, just a normal web user and pdf user, but will use windows using vm (the only heavy task I needed). is the m2 Air (16gb ram) good enough or 14″ pro is good for vm?

2:12 I wouldn’t call it “one of the best laptop screens by a long shot”. It is a good screen, and that’s about it.
Since last year, Samsung’s OLED panels have started appearing in Windows laptops like the ZenBook S 13 OLED, ZenBook 14 etc.
They have higher refresh rate, higher peak brightness (600 nits), are colour accurate, OLED of course and such.

Look……. Normally I’m with you on alllllll the text videos you do. But this a hot take to me because yours is thee only video I know that recommends this no one does. I’m sure you have your reasons. Especially over like intel but thing is until has a lot more compatibility with apps when it comes to not use in Rosetta. In most cause I would tell people to get an M1 or an pro Mack book for pricing reasons. Just can’t recommend this laptop to too many people even if I wanted to. (and I wanted so badly to like this MacBook Air you have no idea)

I picked up the M1 Pro 14 inch base model. using it for writing, movies, web browsing and Minecraft. love it but the battery do drain fast. I’m thinking about returning it for the m2 with 512gb/16gb. what do others think? only upside about m1 pro for me is the mini led display.

This is a useful review. What sets this one apart is that you’ve highlighted what the M2 Air CAN do rather than what it can’t do. There’s been so much hysteria that’s confused potential buyers, imo.

Didn’t regret my decision. Gotten the M2 MacBook Air with 16GB Ram with 1TB storage. Everything is smooth af. Upgrade from i5 Macbook Pro.
