one thing i like about this is the no touch bar. i have a 2020 macbook pro and i hate the touch bar plus it ended up breaking and nonstop flickering which was annoying.

I bought macbook to build ios apps for living only to realise that Tim Cook makes a living by planning obsolosence and intentionally degrading degrading hardware and bloating softwares. The reason apple is a closed ecosystem.

I need a laptop for work. Is the base Air model good for: having 10 tabs open in safari, running excel in the background and outlook/teams while being on a FaceTime/teams video call all at the same time?

Great video! By the way, we’re deciding between M2 Mac Air vs. M2 Mac Pro…. wondering which one should we get? We will be using this laptop for our everyday use (browsing the web, spreadsheets, word processing, movies, and occasional gaming (league of legends, but nothing crazy). I was leaning towards the Pro model (13.3″, M2), as it comes w/ an internal cooling fan…. but would like to get your opinion. Also, should we consider upgrading the RAM to 16gb and hard drive to 512? Thanks for your input 🙂

This video crushes every other review on Macs that I have seen for years. It strikes a happy medium that I imagine most potential Mac users need without disappointing geeks. That is not a simple task.
I wonder, do you script and review your copy before you record? There were parts a little repetitive. Just guessing, but a strong edit might get the video down to 10 – 11 minutes with no loss of the good stuff. Alas, that would deprive me of more minutes of your excellent delivery.

Depends where you live. If you live in a cool or cold environment as opposed to say on the equator or desert regions that where you might notice thermal throttling that said if it throttles it still obliterated an Intel chipped model MacBook pro

I was thinking about this one for a long time and I ended up getting a base Mac Studio (M1 Max, 32gb ram, 1tb storage). I researched M2 vs M1 vs M1 Pro vs M1 Max. The reality is that the M2 is only here to compete with the base M1. That being said, the M1 Pro Macbook Pro 14” or 16” 2021 model is totally worth it being only slightly more expensive than the M2 Macbook Air and M2 Macbook Pro with a 6 speaker system, a better cpu, more ports, larger screen but worse front facing camera. The thing is people are speculating that the M2 Pro line up might be dropping some time later this year which means the price should drop even more for a M1 Pro Macbook Pro. So instead of getting any of those I ended up getting the Mac Studio which was actually cheaper than a 16” M1 Pro Macbook Pro with 16gb ram and 1tb storage.

LMAO the SSD is the worst part of the base M2 and you barely acknowledge that it’s literally twice as slow as the base M1 air. Apple is pulling a fast one with the price on the base M2 Air.

Excellent, Ella! Finally someone who presents and explains the performance for daily tasks. I wish there would be someone who could show us how this new machine works in usual music production cases with Logic Pro X… no benchmarks, just tracking mixing mastering with our usual plugins. I wish Apple could give me one for testing and presentation here in Central Eastern Europe… but it never will happen. I hope I can afford 14 or 16 MBP with next gen M2 Pro chip, and I can fill this gap on Youtube.
