The Air M1/M2 is completely shit for anything other than office work. Tried it, saw it, end of review. It’s like expecting a four-cylinder to perform like an eight-cylinder.

The battery life test is a little suspicious. The macbook airs aren’t rendering full screen which would decrease power consumption.

i enjoy using my m2 air for every day things its fast and lasts forever a good laptop for sure,its eliminated my need for my old 13 macbook pro. i cant wait to get the new iphone 14pro max to use with it

I am doing full stack web dev and seriously considering this device. Its weight and size speaks to me the most. However, normally I have multiple virtual desktops with split view IDEs + around 50 chrome tabs + YT in a background + docker containers for database + .net framework + nodejs. Currently I am on Intel i7 machine with 16gb of ram, and it really is having a hard time to keep up.

I am planning on going to college to do computer science. I am stuck between going for the MBA M2 8 or 10 core 16Gb and 512ssd, and the MBP 14’ 16GB, 512ssd, and 14 core. There’s a sale on Best Buy rn for the Pro at $1,600. I planned on spending around there. But I’m not sure which is the better option. Every review shows varied opinions and I’m not sure what’s the best choice.

I would like to try to play simple games if I can and I’d like to be able to do school and computer science related assignments easily. If anyone could help I’d greatly appreciate it
