Would this be a good laptop for front-end dev? Its gonna be my back up device for when i am travelling. Thanks
I looking to upgrade from an old macbook pro and I intend to do some light editing on my new laptop on after effects. would you recommend this laptop or would a higher end pro be the better option?
slowly turning into tech review channel
Thank you so much for this review! I am thinking of buying this new Macbook Air and I think your review was really helpful and thorough!

Is this the 8 core?
Please do a review of the recently released Matebook X Pro from Huawei, it looks gorgeous too.
BTW, is this right time to buy the m1 pro MBP 14? Will Apple release an upgrade this year?
Hey Ella! Can you please help me to select the best among all the macbooks costs around 1850$….
The following is a necessary task that I wanted to do for a long time like 5-7 years:
1. Coding (beginner)
2. Thinking to learn and do video editing in the future
3. Photo editing
4. Web browsing
Literally, I’ve been looking for a perfect laptop for myself for the last couple of months.
honestly that California accent makes this review unwatchable
Well, my typical compilation target (as a web dev) is around a few megs of compiled code…
The source code can easily take up 30MB though.
I am thinking of slapping a few of thermal pads between the SOC and the bottom side of the case – which literally takes unscrewing it, placing the pads and screwing back in…
From what I’ve seen the temps go down by over 20’C with quality thermal pads and the throttling appears an order of magnitude later, basically beating the MacBook Pro in literally everything because of how Apple is so stubborn on keeping the fan curve low for such a long time.
Also, upgrading to 16GB for web development is honestly a must. Just an IDE can take up over a gigabyte of memory, then accounting for all the processes like compilers, dev servers, language linting and all of that just piles up over time as you use more tools, that easily chews through like 5GB of memory by itself.
Good summary
thank you
Just came here to say that this video was Created by Created by Ella :V
Best review ive seen on the mba m2 just because u talked about the stuff that actually matters for the average consumer thanks.
I love the clear, fast pace of your video. Thanks for a great review.
I’ve seen so many mixed reviews on the M2, so much so I was inclined to go with the M1 Macbook Air, a but that seemed to me a better option. People were saying that the cooling system in this model doesn’t have any heat sinks, making it reach up to 108 Celsius under heavy workloads, a temperature that is definitely exceeding comfortable levels. The SSD seemed to be slow, since it only had 1 NAND chip as opposed to two on the M1. What are your thoughts?
First time watching, really good review and covering a huge amount of information in a short amount of time. Nice job Ella !
Would u recommend it for working on Citrix that runs on windows ?
The excitement when I saw Robarts library 👀
