same.. I think I like the wedge shape M1 air more over the M2 air. I also like that it comes in gold color. wish they kept that for the M2

I’m buying one solely because it does not use PWM / dithering while pretty much every other Mac in the last 5 years does. Actually selling my 16″ pro because that OLED screen is gorgeous but it sure does burn a hole in my eyes with the PWM. The M1 air also flickers pretty badly. Not everyone is bothered by it obviously but some people are and it makes using the machines very tiring. Yeah the m2 is overpriced especially because I will upgrade the RAM and storage but what are you gonna do.. windows isn’t an option for me.

I have to disagree with you here just a little ~ THINK ~ This is an advancement in the AirMac model line ~ Do you disagree when a car company makes advancements to their new lines of cars every year ~ I don’t ~ This is an advancement over the M1 ~This is nothing new in the field of R&D ~ I bet Apples R&D team is already working on the next model AirMac ~, Yes if I owned the M1 I would stick with it ~ I owned a 2011 Mac Air that has fans that gets hot all the time and hearing them whizzing around is very annoying to me ~ I have only owned my new M2 for just about a month now but it has never gotten over heated while sitting on my lap for long periods times ~ There were some point’s that I agree with in your review but this is my own personal experience so far ~ I’m not sure about the Overheatinggate thing I’ve seen reviews from both sides and not sure who to believe but I’d like to think that Apple wouldn’t release a product that would cause them future Class Action Lawsuits ~ BTW ~ I didn’t get the Midnight Black I don’t like looking at finger prints ~ I have the 512 model Midnight Grey so the difference in price was like buying 2023 Toyota over say a 2020 model year car ~ Thanks for your opinon Dayo ~ This was mine ~

Hi Dayo. Could you help me please? As you know because of the Apple discounts for students (back to-school plan), I could buy an iPad Pro + an upgraded M2 MacBook air (with 16 gigs of ram) for quite the same price as 14-inch Macbook pro. I feel like choosing the iPad and MacBook air combo over the just MacBook pro makes more sense. What do you think ? which one should I choose? and even if it needs to upgrade the base model of M2 air or not?
