Thanks for the video, all great points. Im having this dilemma at the moment. I really love the M1 air shape but it’s difficult to find here and only in the base model. My M2 Air spec is the base unit with the 8-core GPU but upgraded to 16GB/512GB which in the UK is £1649 but the M1Pro MBPro with 16GB/512GB 14” can be had for £1735. I really like the fan less M2 Air, and really won’t use the power of the MBPro (I do office stuff, media consumption, basic coding) so the Air would be perfect but for some reason I can’t quite bring myself to order it!

Another spot-on review 👌🏽

I held off the M1 Air as I wanted the new form factor that the M2 Air delivered. But boy was I disappointed by the price bump over M1 and ludicrous £200 for *each* upgrade to 16gb memory & 512gb storage. So I opted for the 14” MBP, discounted from Amazon which was so much better value for money. I love it!

P.S. can’t believe sponsors aren’t bidding to be part of your channel

Another good video, lack of sponsors notwithstanding.
It looks like Apple is depending on their M1 laurels, instead of making it a priority to push the efficient performance banner down the road, especially given the price hike the M2 MBA got, had they kept the entry price down on the M2 MBA, I’d probably not feel that way. I’m hoping that TSMC will help Apple make the M3 the product line the improvement it should be, and that they’ll bump the base SSD size up to 512 MB while retaining the price. Be really nice if they’d reduce the cost of the memory upgrades, too, but I’m an optimist, not a nut, so I figure the chance of that happening anytime soon is about as good as my tan getting to be as great as yours. In the meanwhile, I value your perspective on Apple’s products, you’re one of the best.
