I went for Starlight, it’s on the way!
I’m so excited honestly
(I didn’t go with Midnight cause of the Smudges and the ports and other parts of the lappy would get chipped and reveal its aluminum)

I feel like it’s definitely positioned as an advancement of the M1 MBA, it’s easy to forget with how shockingly good the M1s were over Intel that the Air was never meant to be a pro laptop.

Even in lighter workloads this performance difference due to the slower-speed single channel ssd nand WILL be noticeable…. Regular people that study ANY subject with a laptop WILL and DEFINITELY WILL, open at least 10 browsing tabs..

I have a friend with her $499 acer eating 20-30 chrome tabs daily, even with a core i3. (SSD runs at more than 2000mb/s, and 12GB of ram) My point here is, chrome tabs-ram usage-SSD Speed DO matter even for “lighter” tasks. It DO matter and it DO boosted my friend’s mere 2-core intel core i3

So with this ssd controversy in mind, get the 8/512 version of this M2. It’ll make a significant difference in day-to-day performance (especially during the ram-switch or whatever it called)

Or better yet, just get the old M1 air. Wedge shape is more comfortable for typing yall ✌🏻✌🏻
