u think 200$ for more storage is criminal ? i guess you never heard of a company called Apple, wait.
Love your videos man
So much information in such a less timeframe
I’m happy I picked up the M1 air last year at a steep discount.
I still think it’s gonna be my definitive mac
I just ordered one of this MacBook Air. I have an old discontinued model MacBook, no fan and I never noticed overheating issue. I use MacBook Pro at work and that fan can get pretty loud. Air is not a good option for people need more than one external monitor, heavy multi tasking and maybe gaming (all the gamers I know use desktop Windows machine, don’t know any Mac gamers but imagine 10 core GPU is not enough). I think the only concern is the complain I heard that midnight blue shows finger prints easily, guess I will find out. There is no perfect machine and just like your phone, I wouldn’t buy the most expensive model and upgrade to a new one every two years.
I feel like saying “duh” when listening to this rundown. How are you doing tech reviews? No shit the fan is important for sustained workloads. No shit the MBA is better for lighter loads. We’ve known this since the first MBA. How is this news?
Wallpaper link?
I have one critique of Dave’s videos. He assumes MacBook users are looking for the all around performance house user. I personally have no intention of every using an Apple computer to game. MacBooks to me are for web-surfing and general productivity software. As a soft/casual user I find it difficult to gauge a conclusion from these videos since they’re based on users who use their devices for extremely demanding software, which is most definitely not the majority of the market.
what do you mean by a light or moderately demanding workload? Could you use a real life example? Would that be considered a college student?
Love the review as always. I gotta say that the amount of reviewers/people who say “having to pay X amount more for this is criminal/ridiculous” but still buying and paying for it from Apple, but happily not buying it from others who overcharge seems interesting. Do we say it because we feel better letting others know we are getting ripped off or do we say it and still buy because we feel there is no other choice? Or do we just lie and really think we’d pay whatever Apple asks no matter what and are fine with that.
Haven’t tried this with the M2 Macbook Air, but a laptop cooling pad has been a great investment for gaming on my M1 Air. They go for like 40 bucks on Amazon. Very noticeable difference that I assume will have the same effect with the M2 Air.
m1 still woth more. 200$ a lot of money only 4 a new design
Fast
Great review, thank you! I’m thinking the 16GB of RAM and 512GB SSD for me. Computationally but not graphics-intensive work. Hopefully that’s enough. I don’t think I want to go get the M1 Pro
Dave2D is superior. He got the midnight colour for his review unit!
Yessss!!! Idk why i just saw your review just today
Huge fan
wish i could afford one too but feel great looking at your review
Good video, I’m waiting for the M2 iMac

FANtastic device with no fans 🙁
