I don’t think it was emphasized enough at the beginning: Given the actual CPU is same as the M1 = M2 except it’s now larger. That really is worth emphasizing considering the price difference between them and then the performance ratio difference.

Nice review. So if you a casual user and you want a thin and powerful laptop, get the 8CPU/8GPU MA. Fewer cores, fewer thermal issues. If you want to use power, get the MBP.

There’s so much negativity in these comments this computer is clearly built for students and people who do light work that like the Mac experience, those kinda people will have plenty of headroom for years to come and will be more than fine going forward with this laptop for what they do.

Anyone who is hungry for more power would obviously look at the Pro model lineup.

I hate the notch, but it seems everyone is giving it pass now and has come to accept it. But why isn’t anyone talking about the horrible chin on this M2 Air?
I expected Dave (out of all other reviewers) to mention it cause he does the most nitpicking over the same chins on Windows laptops.. the screen bezels and notch bother me, but I’m most likely gonna end up buying one in Silver.

The upgrade to 500GB storage costing $200 is literally a scam
Those extra 250GB storage cost less than $20.
That’s not just “Apple tax”, that’s like paying your robber to rob you even more

The moment the M2 MBA is revealed, 14″ M1 MBP design seems ugly by comparison

I once wanted to buy the 14″ MBP but then considering M2 MBA for software development. However, considering the throttling issue, this is a tough choice to make

i feel like dave might end up with xps 13 plus, if he is into small devices … but again that doesnt have a dedicated gpu … but beastly cpu performance … nothing comes near it

Sir i think upcoming windows 11 major update include efficiency mode in the task manager for Intel 12 gen or 13 gen laptops. Even on light tasks all cores are running including performance cores. 22h2 update will surely improve battery for Intel at least.

I don’t like this air thing it’s like an iPad Air with a physical keyboard lol , i prefer to buy an iPad pro at least more flexible in terms of using touch, pencil and more or I will just go with MacBook 14,16 to use mac os
