I priced out 2 laptops in canada on the education site. It makes more sense to get the pro in my mind.
14”pro – $2800 – Better thermals, 120hrtz display, Better CPU. 512gb hd, 16 gig ram
M2 Air – $2450 – upgraded to match 16gig ram and 512gb hd.
Both have apple care

Apple is the king of price ladders. After my configs it makes the pro just a few hundred more.

So now Apple is hitting thermal limits again after dumping Intel. Still much better after the switch, but I wish they would put out thermally efficient laptops where the chips max out without throttling.

So appreciate the consistently calm, unbiased, use case based reviews Dave provides. Compare with MaxTech, who marvel that they are both labeled as Apple fanbois and recently haters (for pointing out the slow storage and thermal issues), but it’s because they fall into the camp of TRYING to overhype everything, create attention getting headlines etc. Every topic, both positive and negative is turned up to 11 and it pulls it so far away from the average user’s use case.

Props Dave, you are (and have been for years) my #1 tech Youtuber hands down.
