4:48 I think most people are going to be working off of external or network storage and you’d be surprised how many people order the minimum local storage because of it.
We generally only put programs on our local storage so 256GB is more than enough, we’d probably be good with 128GB
The main reason we do not work with files on the primary storage is because these processors use the local storage for SWAP/page file, and the more writes you make to a drive, the faster it will die, so moving your project to a replacable external SSD, means your laptop/desktop will last that much longer before you have to throw it away because these drives are not replicable.
This is actually why we’ve been trying to move to linux or windows, because the cost of replacing macs, just because their drive failed, has become an obvious drain on profits, when our server drives fail, we just pop in a new drive and its back up and running, when our Mac drives fail, the best we can do is send it off for a few weeks to have apple maybe replace it for at least several times the cost of a normal drive, but sometimes almost 1/2 the price of a new Mac

I was waiting for this. But considering the price for 16GB RAM and 512 GB storage, I’m going to pay an extra 350€ and get the base model m1 PRO

Is it possible to get a matte finish metallic material?

The only Apple product I buy every few years is the iPhone. I currently have the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
I think it’s cool that now the MacBook Air uses the newer M2 chip. I’m wondering when the iPhone will use the M chip, use USB-C, have Mini LED display, TouchID on the power buttons, etc. They already do those things on their iPad and computers. It’s weird they don’t do so on the iPhones. They should at least do it with the Pro versions.
