Hopefully its no big surprise to anyone that the M2 MBA is going to throttle and not perform quite as well as the M2 Macs that have fans. The M1 MBA did the same thing and it is an incredible laptop.

I was was very excited about m2 air, but it frustrated me. It costs 1500€ in Germany and for the same price you can buy Asus rog zephyrus g15 which has much bigger 2k 165hz screen, twice more ram and ssd, much more powerful gpu and cpu literary for the price of 1449€. Im gonna buy g15. Small 13/14 inch screen is a big downside to me and with apple you just have no choice.

Wait… 10 chrome tabs is heavy??? That’s my normal everyday lmao. and I own 4yr old ASUS TUF with 8GB RAM and 4 GB 1050ti Graphics.

Works fine with even like 30-40 chrome tabs and other applications along with it till RAM runs out.

The M2 was supposed to be built on a 3nm process, so it should have been a lot better. It isn’t a dud, but is disappointing it isn’t better than it ended up being.

M1Air was probably the most perfectly priced laptop on the market.

If Apple decided to sell the M2 at the same price of previous M1 and dump the M1 price down a bit they would sell like hot cake.
