I got Midnight and I absolutely love it. I liken this to the commentary around car color…they say don’t buy black because it shows dirt more than other colors. The “solution” is to buy a brown car. I’m not buying a brown car because of dirt, and I’m not buying a boring MacBook because of fingerprints!

For someone, who uses their MacBook for school work, to watch movies or shows, and to play a few arcade games or online games, the base model M2 MacBook Air is completely fine for those tasks.

I don’t understand everyone bitching about the fingerprints on the Mac… just get a clear skin, and your set.
I bought one for my 15” MBP and you

I thought the M1 Air quality was better. I could see details in your face better. Sound was just as good but slightly sharper maybe whether that is good or not.

The MagSafe is not useful if you already have a USB-C hub with pass through charging, so we can just connect 1 USB C for external monitor, charging etc.

I would not bring it to use it outside as well because I would prefer to take 1 USB-C cable.

Had M1 Pro 14” base. Sold it. Got the 512 8gb midnight m2 air. Returned it. Repurchased M1 Pro 14” for almost what i sold it for. Flip side. I get a brand new battery and brand new AppleCare on a machine I was already loving. Wanted to try the m2 but realized the port layout and display size and quality of the M1 Pro was perfect for me.

I did love the weight of the air but I don’t bring it out of the house so its a non-issue.

Smart phones are so much smaller than laptops, but they have such great sounds; so why are laptops so lousy and so stupidly poor and beggarly with sound? I don’t understand.

Great video until you compared the base model to the 24 x 1tb . No one in the market for a entry level MacBook Air is going to buy the beefed up air. At that point get the pro. Should of compared it to the 16 x 526g which I think would be the more logical choice

Great video! I bought an M2 MacBook Air about a month ago. I got the basic one. That’s all I need for my computer needs. I love it. It’s aesthetically beautiful and great for my computer work. Got space gray. I like that color, nothing fancy. Again, many thanks for a great video. I agree that this M2 2022 MacBook Air is awesome!

I just can’t get around the slow non-replaceable SSD that needs to do the memory’s job on the base model. I get that you can upgrade RAM but damn a base model shouldn’t cause premature SSD wear for things beyond using it as an internet browser. So now you’re stuck getting upgraded overpriced RAM for no good reason other than to prevent premature death.

By the time you’re done with this thing it’s a little on the pricey side even for Apple. Don’t get me wrong I’m not anti-Apple but this just irks me a bit.

I bought my wife an M1 mini last year and that thing is a darn good machine for a great value even with 1TB SSD and 16g RAM. I never notice any memory swapping for her normal tasks. She has no idea what that means but I check up on her. 😂

People, there is such a thing as external storage that you can edit videos from. You do not need to waste money on 1TB internal storage.
I will admit that 8/256 is an embarrassment in 2022. The standard should be 16/256. The swap memory is not an excuse.
