In case you’re wondering about the title – it’s actually a written requirement for tech Youtubers that they use a device for at least 169 hours before writing a review. However, for MacBooks it’s actually 420 hours, but I got special permission from Tim Cook. Stay tuned for the “long-term” review at 1337 hours!

Whoever’s reading this, i pray that whatever you’re going through gets better and whatever you’re struggling with or worrying about is going to be fine and that everyone has a fantastic day! Amen
Where I can find the orange-purple wallpaper from the beginning of the video?
We already knew that the new M2 MacBook Air has become significantly more expensive. It delivers everything Apple promises, and if you’re looking for a notebook, but don’t need the horsepower of a MacBook Pro, you still get plenty of power and performance in the M2 MacBook Air.
I sold my iPad Pro and was excited about the M2 Air at first. But the price was the reason I changed my mind, and as a photographer, the 14 Pro was the best option for picture editing. It depends on personal use. For me, the 14 Pro is portable enough and offers everything. The M2 Air would have been my preferred choice though. But blame it on the price.
anyone do a thermal pad mod on the M2 air?
Damn what a number of hours, nice
Which m2 air did you use, was it the base variant?
This leaves me wondering whether there may be space in Apples lineup for a 12“ entry model as spiritual successor to the M1 MBA…
I totally agree with you while watching this video on my M2 MacBook Air with 16+512
Nice
Dude whenever people say it can do web browsing and send emails i’m like what Lmao any laptop can do that. This is the M series chip designed from apple I think it can do a hell of alot more than that lol.
I bought the M2 Air with 10 core GPU, 16GB RAM & 2TB SSD & love it. It’s light weight and I can carry it about knowing that all my important file are onboard for quick access if I need them and there’s more than enough power under the hud for what I need it for.
Trying to sell my iPad Pro 12.9 m1 to get the mba m2 , I think you are right 16gb is definitely a better option for the future, but 256gb is plenty for me since I use externals mostly .
With the iPhone 14 Pro rumoured to have 8K video, it seems good advice to get 16GB/512GB even if you are just a hobbyist videographer that will use 8K. Prosumers should def wait for the M2 Pro 14, and not fall for the YT influencers take that we should get the M1 Pro 14. The faster RAM in the M2, along with higher CPU (single and multi core), updated media engines, better ML performance, more bandwidth, etc, means pros should hold out for the M2 Pro 14 line.
If you are just a lightweight user like me, then the base M2 is fantastic. I have had no slowdowns with office apps and Safari running (though watch the memory leak). If you can afford one upgrade, get the 16GB of RAM.
The M2 is far better than the M1 and as developers continue to update for the M2, the gap will widen, so the M2 is the way to go. The M1 Air is great but the $200 extra makes the M2 a good deal. The M1 Air with a deal is a good value choice if you accept you are buying an inferior machine. That may not matter to most Air buyers.
Honestly if you even think the M2 MBA and the 14″ M1 Pro/Max are worthy of comparison then you probably need a reality check lol
Let me break it down in Ooga Booga:
Me only carry little rock no big rock: M1/M2 MBA
Me need carry big and little rock: 13″ M1 MBP / 14″ M1 MBP / (M1/M2 MBA If not sustained load)
Me carry big rock only: 14″ M1 MBP / 16″ M1 MBP
Yeah that’s what I thought. These MacBooks were gonna be more like the iPhones in terms of performance and efficiency gains compared to the initial switch from Intel to Apple Silicon. I think that’s a good thing because you can hold onto your current Apple Silicon devices for quite a while and not have to upgrade right away to the next thing but if you want it’s always there. I hope M3 and beyond bring even more to the table but looks like a nice laptop as is!
Your channel and content deserve more views! Keep up the good work man!
