returned mine an went for M1 Pro for 300 less with 16gb 512gb…. considering returning that for air 13 inch base model for 1049 with a FREe 130 gift card so really it will cost 920 so BARGAIN

I actually have a 16” MacBook Pro m2pro with 16gb of ram and I just find it too bulky and heavy to use anywhere except for a desk. I don’t need the power so I just got a MacBook Air 15” (24gb/1tb SSD). I love it and really prefer to the 16” which is a tank compared to the lightweight 15”. Yes, the screen and speakers on the 16” are definitely nicer, but to me it just doesn’t justify the extra weight. Going to sell the 16” pro. I do have also an m1 MacBook Air 13 for travel. Performance vise I don’t really see any difference between the 16 and 15 (mainly work with MS office, zoom, web browsing and light photo editing)

I came from 2T, 16GB , Macbook pro 13″ and will never go back. Love this one. Got the 1T because with my 2TB never even put 400GB, but did get the 24GB of ram for fun.

I know it sounds crazy, but I sold my 14” M1 Pro Macbook Pro 16GB/1TB, after using the 15” Macbook Air 16GB/1TB for 2-weeks. The larger display, the form factor, significantly better battery life, and the overall snappier feel of the M2 chip was worth it for me. I run about 10 simultaneous apps, 50 safari tabs, and occasionally Parallels, without issue. Occasionally, I might do some light video editing for some company materials, so this isn’t really a factor for me. If I ever need to do something super-intensive, I have a Mac Studio at home. It’s strange how something that appears inferior on the specs and benchmarks, turned out to be so awesome for me in practice.

For causal users who don’t need a laptop for work or someone tall in high school, I can support the 16GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD. It is expense ($1,600) compared to the PC competitor LG Gram 16-inch from 2022 year, but Apple users will stick to their brand and cannot be persuaded.

For anyone else, there are too many better options at the same or lower price points. M1 MacBook Pro 14, M1 MacBook Pro 16, LG Gram 16-inch 2022 for non-video editors, and LG Gram 16-inch 2023 with Nvidia GPU for video editors.
