I’d take a bit more thickness than a super thin MBP that heats up like a jet turbine. My 2019 MBP i9 model is unusable as a laptop for me because it just gets way too hot to be a comfortable laptop. My MBP M1 Max comes tomorrow, good riddance to the Intel era.

How is your experience with it? I’m thinking about ditching my MacBook Air and iMac for a simple MacBook Pro set up + monitor.

It is hard to choose between 14 & 16. In my country now got a discount for the 16 where need to add up less than a 100USD from 14″/1tb/10-16CPU-GPU to get 16″/500GB/10-16CPU-GPU/ just that the 16 is too bulky (at least for me where i’m traveling a lot) but the offer is quite hard to ignore, hmmm..

Hello! Was there any particular reason on why you chose space grey instead of silver? I’m torn between these two colors and it’s been days but i still haven’t decided on the final color yet 😓 I wanted the space grey one but i heard it smudges easily and the paint will have discoloration a few years after using them. While the silver one might be more durable but i’m afraid the reflection on the palm area might distract my focus to the screen ☹ (I’m thinking of buying the 14″ ones btw and i’m planning to use it for at least 5 years)

14 is for me the most flexible … in a studio you have a big extra screen anyway …. then 7 Mybe …. to 15 seconds faster rendering in 16inch pro m1 is not the whole world

Is it just me that thinks the design of this is a massive step back? Really not a fan of how thick it is, the squared edges, the slate keyboard, even the bottom. Apple is really falling behind.
