I agree on the ports situation, though if you’re connecting to a monitor with USB-C PD, then you can use it in a 1-cable solution into the device. My monitor has more USB-C ports, which helps. That said, it really would have been nice to have 4 ports (2 on each side).

Since the battery life is so great maybe you can use the two ports for something else than power. I do agree that more ports is better, but is it a game changer? I bet in reality only for a certain few people.. I could be wrong though. Otherwise totally agree with your points. Cheers

I don’t like traditional laptops, so I hope they find a way to get an M1 (or 2, whatever) chip into an ipad pro. The price to performance with these chips is insane.

Give me a 15 inch ipad pro with a macOS like software keeping touch and pen input (ipadOS is freaking garbage.) and I would die of happiness.

Apple just took the money out of my account for the MBA M1 I ordered a couple weeks ago. I’m looking forward to it. I’m trading in my 2017 15” MBP. I wanted something lighter for my bag. Really looking. Forward to it.

Just curious, I had to switch to proxies since I picked up the a7siii and it sucks! I want to start using XAVC-HS to save some card space, but it crippled my 5k iMac.

Hi All, I purchased a Macbook Pro M1 and I have it now for 6 days. I have come across with only 1 issue, but I consider it major.
When I turn on the Macbook, it wouldnt start up. When Apple logo disappear there should be a screen where I can login.
Instead of this login screen, I saw a blank black screen twice in the 6 days. Couldnt do anything on this screen, had to force shut down and reboot.

Anyone else with the same issues? Should I return my macbook?

I just ordered the MacBook Pro 13 M1 with 512gb ssd and 8gb ram

But now I’m thorn… should I ask if they can instead send me the AIR m1with 512gb ssd but 16gb ram instead?

Or should I put 300$ more on the table and get the MacBook Pro M1 512gb ssd and 16gb RAM?

Or am I good with 8 gb MacBook Pro?

Why is this quick resume such a surprise? I remember a NETBOOK I bought in 2006 or so, could “quick resume” in like 3 seconds and that was a netbook with a slow ass hard drive and windows XP.
I am sure modern laptops can reach at least that time.
So at best quick resume saves what 1-2 seconds?
I don’t get it.
Anyway, good video though I wish more youtubers talked about the stupid 8GB RAM and how the shared RAM isn’t just good it can also be seriously bad limitation, if not for the speed, for the quantity.
