I understand the obsession of the YouTuber for m1 macbook because its very good for video editing. But for common people its an overkill. Even 11gen i3 is sufficient for an all day use. We just need a fast ssd.

Having extreme heat issues with new Mac Air M1. I’m a research guy, so I have to open 40 to 50 chrome tabs regularly. There are times when I have to go to 80. Meanwhile I’ll be sharing my screen on Google meet as I present and explain stuff to my team. I had a hp pavilion gaming Ryzen 4600h 8gb ram previously. It used to do that without any issue and no overheating (it had fans to cool it off duh). I’m disappointed that Mac gets this hot when I use chrome to share my screen on meet.
