8 months later, 8 months 2 days later… All this AppleTube is getting pathetic
Oh, the lighting is just wonderful 🙂
Getting my first ever macbook air m1 tomorrow 😅…. excited💯
Great job! Thanks you!
Yo its been a while since I have checked one of your videos, and I just wanted to give you probs on the improvements you have made to your video style, editing etc. Its always been on a good level but you have really managed to still improve on that so – good job 😉
I am an m1 macbook pro user and I have to point out that the fan rarely turns on so the issue with having macbook with a fan on a bed or sheets is negligible.
❤️🔥🤯
I accept everything that’s been said here. But, I’m afraid that my battery life on the m1 MacBook Air wasn’t as good as it was used to be when I first bought it. It’s been almost 7 months since I’ve bought this. Maybe I’m alone in this owing to my usage pattern but it’s a thing to look out for, nonetheless.
We can buy this or not
Hey Mate jut really confused, should I get M1 chip MBP or should I wait for few months, I can wait till Nov but if it’s not worth to wait then i should not waste my time with windows slow PC
if only for ‘web browsing and emailing’ i’d get a cheap chromebook
Unrelated Question: What do you think is the future of ARM for other laptops. As we all know, Nvidia partnered with ARM to make future laptops with ARM processors that will work with their GPUs. People are saying this will make a Chromebook a gaming laptop! I just want to know what you think about this, when laptops with this architecture will likely come out, and how they might compete with future macbooks.
I wanted to ask if the swap memory issue been fixed or still there in base model m1?
Love your videos by the way. In regards to not noticing when the M1 MBA is under heavy load, I had only noticed in transitions between apps, however, when I reduce motion the lag between transitions is no longer noticeable. In fact, since owning the device I have compared the MBA m1 a lot of the time to an iPad. The M1 MBA offers the best experience on a laptop. I use my MBA M1 for everything from personal use to multi-tasking workflows. My workflows are not intensive, but I do have a lot of apps open at a time that I need to switch between constantly.
Another aspect to the MBA M1 and I also agree that it’s underappreciated, is the lack of fans. I hate fan noise, even when the fan noise is nearly dead silent I still can’t stand it. The fact the design is fanless, the M1 MBA reminds me even more of an iPad. The actual reason why I have owned iPads in the past for work is because of how powerful the device is and the fact I can do what I need to without the fan ever kicking on. Now because of the M1 MBA, I have no need for an iPad.
In regards to making this device what it is not, a beast editing rig, your right your going to be disappointed. However, I don’t feel that Apple is advertising the MBA M1 as a heavy editing/gaming rig. Apple is however advertising the MBA M1 as a power-capable device, and I have to agree. The MBA has never been a heavy power device, the MBA has always been a light portable productivity device.
With these points made, who I still think could benefit from this device are business/average consumers. This device will more than definitely breeze through your excel, PowerPoint, photo editing tasks. The device is also great for cloud gaming and Apple Arcade; which with both should keep you occupied during work breaks. Again great video as always!
Its an amazing laptop. Been using it for a few weeks now and everything is so fast and smooth. I had some files that were in my old laptop (Lenovo, i5, 8gb RAM) so I went back to retrieve them, and from the moment I turned it on, to getting the file, and accessing chrome to send the file online, took me 30 minutes (I am not even joking about this). Made me realize how amazing the Macbook M1 Air is when the same process took just that few clicks here and there to complete. The only problem I had with it was during the first week when transitioning from a Windows laptop to a Mac. The trackpad, keyboard, shortcuts and all were unfamiliar but now its much better and a breeze when it comes to work completion.
This dude really up here already 100k , i was here when he was just like 5k or something and it came, the just released M1 days. Congrats man!
Can the M1 Air comfortably edit hour long 1080p videos and handle occassional short 4k videos as well?
Hi! I found the entire video a bit stuttery, and it is most apparent in the slow motion shots. I don’t know if it’s something about the video (e.g., if you recently changed the frame rate or used some kind of smoothing) or the settings on which I’m viewing it. I’m viewing this on Edge browser on Windows 10 in 2160p setting, and there seems to be no buffering related problem. Also, right now I’m seeing this issue with other YouTube videos. I’m sorry my comment is about technical aspect of the video rather than the content itself, but the effect is distracting enough for me to point it out to you. Hope you understand. 🙂
