do you think it will be a good choice for writing blogs on WordPress and doing lightweight image editing.?

I already have a 1-year Windows laptop but I want another one to handle more work. Someone told me to get a ThinkPad. But I have in mind to save up a little more and get the MB Air M1.

Anyone else doing blogging on the latest Mac Air do let me know your views.

I am on my third MBA M1. The first kep crashing, purple screen – full reboot. The second got hot doing almost nothing, the third hangs frequently and beachballs quite often – even when I am doing nothing but waking it up. Battery life is at best 8 hours browsing. It is still excellent, but I wish I had more memory. I have 1TB ssd though. Oh yes, the USB sockets are dreadful – the power cable is already slightly damaged. I can not go though another total re-setup so I’ll stick with it and hope it gets better. Oh yes – again – the trackpad quite often fails to ‘click’ – probably related to the hanging issue.

Hi Josh. I’ll be moving to Canada soonish and have heard that Apple’s website has some decent deals on refurbished Macs, including M1 machines, occasionally costing 20% or even a quarter less. Is that also the case with Apple Canada and do you recommend getting a refurbished M1 Mac? (I don’t intend to go all out on a Macbook yet as it’s going to be my first foray into the Apple ecosystem).

Should I buy the MacBook air m1 for my software engineering stuff? not just coding but some 1080p video editing with heavy browsing (+100tabs) and lightroom editing.

This decision is honestly so hard ahah! I have the XPS 13 9370, paid $1700 CAD, got it in 2018 & this laptop is so bad, can barely search the web without issues. I feel like the macbook pro will be a better option since Ill be keeping it for a really long time.

Anybody having prob with watching Netflix or amazone prime? I always get that notification “this website is using significant memory….”. And I only have 10-15 webs opened (like articles). Sometimes the safari shuts down after that notification. I wouldn’t recommend 8gb.

Thanks for the vid. How do you think it would do with Adobe LR & PS or Affinity Photo doing some light to medium layers work? Also , does Rosetta 2 come installed on the Air or do Would I need to purchase it? Thanks in advance for any replies.
