I’m waiting on the air refresh for 2022 with the M2 chip and new design. I still have my original MacBook air 2015 still works no issues. When I do get the new MacBook Air the only upgrade will be to 16 gb ram for less memory swapping between the ram and ssd

Just sold mine today. It was pretty good, form factor is better than the new macbook pro and its pretty fast. But macos has a lot of weird bugs and I’d get the pinwheel a lot. Sold it and I’m waiting on the Jan 5 Asus convention

I like the M1 MacBook Air except the speakers. It starts to make Shrill sounds when it’s above 75% of Volume.

I wouldn’t be surprised if apple gets rid of the M1 Pro, and either makes two variants of the Air, or revives the base Macbook, putting an M1 in it and charging $800 or $900 for it, then the new Air starting at $1200 and with a new chip

I got the 512gb version, I thought the 8gb ram would be limiting but I’ve only ever neared 7gb of usage at once so far, and still no slowdown

Trying to decide if I want the 8/8 build, or if the 8/7 would be fine since I don’t work with media content. Gonna get 16GB RAM either way. Really don’t think I’d notice a difference between the 8 core gpu and 7 core.

I absolutely know that the Air is the right laptop for me – the only thing I wonder about going for the Pro about is the extra 100 nits of screen brightness because I am absolutely fed up with my current laptop’s ridiculous 250 nits screen brightness. Do people think the 400 nits of the Air is OK for regular use?
