This laptop literally had nothing on Lenovo yoga slim 7 or zenbook 13 OLED but whatevs
Best decision I’ve ever made getting my MBA 16GB/1TB back in Feb. All my work programs either run virtually or use MS Office and this thing runs sooooo much better than the State issued Dells my colleagues use. Omg, my productivity is through the roof, and at home!!!
Ngl, the white bezels makes me wanna puke
Hey man.. are you okay? Hope you are well. That is determination.
I just truly hope Apple will bring back the 12 inch macbook with the new m series processor.
It has 0 (zero) impact for me, still sh@t for gaming. Apple ignoring this part of market is making big mistake.
My new m1 Mac book air is coming tomorrow 🌟
What about the minimum memory and ssd? 8 and 256gb again for the base model M2 MA? Thx!
This is a legit long term review…
I bought a 14″ and don’t regret it but there is still something super appealing about the air to me. Always has been. It will be hard for apple to beat the feel and design of it in a compelling timeless way.
For me i think it will be enough for another 4 years if the screen does not break itself.
It’s a great machine, but I should have gotten 16gb of RAM. I was skeptical, but everyone said I wouldn’t need 16 for the light web browsing etc. that I do. My lesson has been learned I will never buy less than 16GB again. Can’t wait to sell this and buy a 16GB version
I just bought my mom one from Best Buy for 800. I’m glad I got it for her.
Amount of speculation on this vid is insane 😂
my m1 air only lasts 5-7 hours on battery. I use edge with multiple tabs open, slack, asana, and aspotify. I wonder if that’s a normal battery consumption or is it abnormal than usual?
Maybe in 2022 this channel’s name can just be changed to Mac Tech instead because that’s basically what it is.
The m1 air is amazing but no matter how the m2 air will be, if it has white bezels is a total deal killer
It will be released in April….. they will lose big revenue and the chips will be an year old by fall …so your predictions like most in the past are wrong😒
Can’t wait for GPU drivers for Linux, I feel this would be a decent ARM Linux machine for the price (JingPad doesn’t come close and there isn’t an Nvidia Tegra ARM board computer with that much RAM), maybe once M2 launches, M1 would be cheap, else probably just wait a few years more and pick up a used one off eBay for me. More for tinkering. Unless Framework comes with a powerful ARM computer with a decent GPU (that would be awesome). Maybe I will get lucky to see iPads running Linux too
I’m a long time Mac guy on an extremely limited income. My main Mac is the MacBook Pro (mid-2012) that I bought in 2014, long after the Retina MacBook Pros had saturated the rest of the lineup. I didn’t care about Retina and I wanted the built-in SuperDrive and all the extra ports the new MacBook Pros didn’t have. I also appreciated the way this was the only model you could still remove the bottom with a small Phillips screwdriver which I used to immediately upgrade the RAM. I have it parked on Mojave because it can’t be upgraded to Big Sur or Monterrey and I wanted to avoid the trauma of Catalina.
I got out my old original white polycarbonite MacBook1,1 that’s running a 32-bit-only Core-Duo “Yonah” CPU to become a home for my old 32-bit programs in anticipation of Catalina.
I have since bought a couple of extra batteries for it (remember when Mac laptops came with easily replaceable batteries?) and replaced the old 60GB HD with a 480GB SSD which I partitioned to be able to dual-boot between Snow Leopard and Slackware-current.
I really want an M1 and I was going to get an M1 Mac mini to liberate my MacBook Pro from the huge external drives I have it tied down to, but this MacBook is getting me to appreciate portability again and for very nearly the same price I can get a similarly configured M1 MacBook Air! I’ve always thought this is the ultimate MacBook Air. It’s what the old 12″ MacBook always wished it could be but was hobbled by that awful Core-M chip.
It may still be several months before I can afford it, but I’m not concerned about rumors.
NOBODY KNOWS what the next MacBook Air will be like or when it will be announced.
As Yogi Berra said, “It’s very difficult to make predictions, especially about the future.”
