the 16gb upgrade is not justified with any numbers or benchmarks or even feelings besides preempted fear. I say save your money. if you’re dealing with giant files, like video editing or photo editing, ok fair enough. but dev work isn’t typically impacted by ram limitations. this example of running out of ram is a fluke and likely not due to hardware limitations. I got the 8gb and I’m happy with it. I plan to sell it at some point in the next 2 years, though, since a hardware refresh is coming. keeping it for 4 years? sure, upgrade, why not, its 50 dollars a year
I can be sure you worked hard for the video
Hlo Ella, I am also a student of computer science, but I am purchasing first time mac so can you please tell me what accessories we need for mac or it’s necessary or not as I want to do only programming
the ram problem is a software problem. The Mac will try to swap ssd as ram first before it ram out. Are you running sth requires 16-20g of ram?
