The fact that is silent and has the same power as a macbook pro makes it a winner, it’s also very thin. This will probably be my first macbook, I’ve been mostly a thinkpad user all the time but I’d like to try something new.

hi ella, u really need to know about a flag which u can use to make chrome consume less memory –process per site flag. You can run chrome from terminal using its location in applications folder with this flag.
It will make chome not spawn a new process for each new tab and consume less memory.
Better use firefox,opera…if u are worried about RAM.
As i saw in ur video on performance testing of 32gb macbook pro…u said u got the 32 Gb version because of memory consumption issues with stupid chrome.

Hi, what about the thermal on this MBA over 8 hours? I’m working 9am to 5pm and mainly use about 10 Chrome tabs such as Google Spreadsheet, Salesforce, YouTube (for music), an the rest is random school websites. Can you please let me know if the MBA get hot over a long day of coding? Assuming coding and using about 10 tabs of Chrome uses the same CPU usage. Thanks so much

Finally!!! All senior/pro/god developers out there with useless videos about M1. This is so so so useful. Just what I wanted to hear. Definitely I will go with 16gb ram Air instead Pro. Using it for web dev, some unity Editor, android studio (because I just switched from iphone to android. Lucky me) and some Photoshop.
