Glad to have you back Lisa! Love your shirt… @7:40 you mentioned something like the dell has thunderbolt 4 instead of thunderbolt 3. It sounded like you meant to say that the MacBook Air / Pro comes with Thunderbolt 3? The MacBook Air/Pro both come with Thunderbolt 4, with both a separate bus. Whereas the previous MacBook Air / pro (Similar to the XPS13) used one bus for two ports, eventually splitting the overal performance. The thunderbolt 4 solution offers several innovations compared to thunderbolt 3. The most important is the support of thunderbolt hubs… similar to an usb hub, the other features were already implemented in Mac but are now natively supported by thunderbolt 4. Strange thing remains that the m1 won’t support more then two screens. 😕 Anyhow glad to have you back! May the force be with you 😜

I used to want the Dell XPS 13. Used to.

Now I have an M1 Mac and MY GOD! it is as if I am not even using a laptop, WITHOUT a fan. 16+ hours of battery life with my kind of usage and being light as a feather, to me at least. It just blows MY freaking MIND!

I don’t mind even remotely that the exterior is the same as previous gen, it means very little to me when the interior is 6 generations ahead.

MBP 13 M1 8-core 16GB/1TB is 2139 euros here in europe. XPS13 with i7-1165G7 4-core 16GB/1TB is 1849 euros. The totaly overpriced MBP is a bettter value performance/Watt than Dell. Yes, I said it.

However:

I had Apple Macbook PRO and Air. Very good built quality, better than the XPS15 I have now, however, had to upgrade since the MBP 15 had a soldered RAM. At least on the XPS13 you can chose a 32GB option.
Just upgraded my XPS15 from 32GB to 64GB for 200 $, the WIFI to WIFI6 for 17$ and probably the SSD will come next year a 4TB for a few hundred $. In 2 years I may upgrade it to 128GB of RAM, who knows.
The 5 year affordable XPS On site support is the best in the industry. Apple care is a joke.
Apple is going in the same direction as the iPhones, lock everything up, expenssive repairs or no repairs, buy a new one.
Battery life may be great on the M1, but a 100W all day use USB-C powerbank is under 50 bucks.
Apple is starting to spy on users…

A MBP13 with M1 made by someone not APPLE and not Microsoft would be nice.

I have Dell XPS 13 2in1 4k for 2months now. I love it so much, the only issue I have is the battery life, it lasts only 4 hours and the fan getting noisy every time I charge it. I called Dell and they are happy for me return it. Should I get Macbook Pro M1 or Dell XPS 15 inch. Anyone has issue with Dell XPS 15 inch cause I prefer Window than Mac

Nice review, but I do have one thing. I don’t think small bezels are only astethic. They look awesome, that’s true, but they do offer a bigger screen in a smaller footprint. That gives you some very practical advantages and I personally am not very pleased, that I have to downgrade the display size, while having the same footprint as my matebook x pro
