Actually, it is also about Windows Vs Macos. If you use Office apps, especially Excel, then you have to chose the dell. The mac version of excel is a joke. If you do video/images, the new m1 is incredible…

I think that Max RAM is a must for the MacBooks. You can always add external storage, but the RAM you choose is forever!

3:20 Geekbench 4 runs under Rosetta, so those are the Rosetta 2 scores. If you install the ipa version of Geekbench by the iMazing tool or from an ipa website the scores should be around ~7500 for the single core and ~30000 for the multicore.

people often say 4k on 13inch is useless but let me explain why it is useful for me and possibly people like me.
I’m a working professional in the graphic design, illustration and printing industry. Photoshop doesn’t have the best scaling options when previewing very high resolution images and sometimes PSB files, there isn’t a good way to have a quick view of the whole image because zooming out will pixelate your image (more so at certain percentages). you can resize the image and select the suitable interpolation but it isn’t ideal and will take up alot of your time.
And if you’re actually digitally drawing high-resolution images, such issues will ruin your workflow.
thankfully, 4k displays even on 13inch laptops greatly reduce these issues allowing you to zoom out less and displaying proper renders of the images.
