Who needs a pro when the air is now so good, good webcam processing, good speakers, QHDish with p3 colour, much cheaper than an i7 laptop with i7 or i9 performance.

And to make things more difficult the xps 9310 with i5 is 2200 here with 1080p non touch, while the air is 1300, more potent cpu, gpu, slightly higher res screen. The more sane machine is razer book 13, at 1900 same 1135g7, 8gb, 256gb.

No HDR, no 10-bit color, no Dolby Vision support…. will wait for the M1 MBP with these features… i like to record in HDR on my iPhone 12…. still no Mac computer that can process these HDR files natively and show it properly…. stuck doing all this on an iPhone 12. Next year I’ll probably get the MBP M1 assuming it can support the iPhone 12 video files.

You do comparison between Dell and Mac doing some benchmarks, screen tests but actually for people who consider these laptops for buying this is actually a choice between macOS and Windows.

everyone who still complaining about apple outdated designe I personaly think they kept it just because is so iconic and smooth still looks more professional than most of win laptops to be fair I bet they will change next year just the bezels 😛

Great video. I wonder why you didn’t compare the front-facing camera between the two laptops? This is maybe a disservice to your audience. The Air’s camera quality is horrendous for any video chats, regardless of the app. It produces grainy image quality when comparing to their older models. In a work-from-home period, it is a vital piece of information. For those looking to purchase the M1, please check the camera quality in-store and see if you’re happy with it.

I have the Dell XPS 9310. Beautiful but the battery life is really bad. Probably going to return it.

Colors of the gold Macbook Air look sooooo different in all videos I watch. Even in two shots of one single video, the gold looks different. Don’t you think? Makes it hard to make a choice. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I have a XPS 13 7390 with most of the bells and whistles as you’d say, i7 10510U, 16Gb RAM, 512Gb SSD, 4K touch and I’d have to just comment that even though it’s a very expensive proposition to max out something like that, the ease and pleasure you get out of it is worth it to me. It has replaced a desktop and an ipad for me and I carry it around with me around the house a lot, it even sits next to me when I sleep lol. I don’t like mac’s in terms of OS and it’s not supportedallowed for work which I use the XPS for so they were never an option, but I liked the format enough to want an equivalent but PC and IMO the XPS is perfect as that.
