So i have been having no entry problem while installing osx and it ended up being the wrong osx for the model so download the right one or multiple ones and use transmac and keep trying different version on a usb flash drive. hope it helps! i used thepiratebay for lion osx versions
Useless
Hi, I’m using mbp 2012 13 inch, upgraded to ssd. Been using Mojave for 3 months now without issue, and suddenly this happens. I tried reformatting, and reinstall the OS using internet recovery. It works for its default OS which is mavericks so far, but when I tried updating back to Mojave, same problem persists. What can be the problem here? Thanks.
How do you do it if disk is encrypted
My little brother keeps yanking my external out this did not help me though all I had to do was boot into another computer lol
pram reset was clutch for me
#3 should NOT be erasing your drive, that should be the last option. after PRAM and SMC reset it should be entering single user mode and running fsck -fy…. and or should be booting to recover mode and trying first aid on the drive… also telling people top try starting in safe mode, which you don’t even mention to the watchers, nor do you mention running verbose Mode, trying hardware test or ant other boot args. . Find it hard to believe that you have any customers, no offence by any means.
it is not the absolute solution
I don’t even get that. It goes straight to no entry sign.
It’s on single mode how do you get that off because that’s what he does that’s why it’s doing that
I am still using my macbook pro 13 inch none-retina mid-2012 and started getting the prohibited sign flashing everytime I turn it on and can just wait for hours for it to finally turn on properly. The solution was to just order and change the hardrive cable. (Used for nearly 10 years now) It now works perfectly after the cable change, boots easily, no problem to restart, no problem to copy and paste large files, works just as usual and no need to wipe my whole drive, I still got all my data on my drive. Hope this helps 😀
