If I was going to do light video editing though? Would the 128 GBs be even close enough?
I wonder if the problem with t2 would be here.
My phone comes standard with 128gb of storage … but that’s none of my business.
Wow this Mac is nice but I will wait for the new generation but if my 2012 MacBook Pro would break I would definitely buy this one it’s got a really good value
Man if it came stock with 256gb then this Mac would’ve been so worth it. But 128gb is kind of a deal breaker in today’s age.
I hate how the base model is 128 gigs. Really?
Awesome vid Luke. This does seem like great value. Love the fact that my 2012 15″ Unibody is still rocking 12,000 on geekbench. Just goes to show you how fast Tech moves. Mine was the best Macbook Apple had at the time. Now it’s being smoke by an entry level 13″ Still love my 2012 though.
Watching this on a Mac Pro 1,1 2006. lol. Quad 3Ghz baby!! 5445 on Geekbench. I have a few better Macs. I just like that thing thing still works fine as a daily driver.
Gaming!
2019 is shaping up to be a very good year for the Mac. When the Mac Pro drops this will be the best lineup they have had since 2012. I’d have no problem buying an 2019 Air, a 2019 13 inch pro, an iMac Pro or the Mac Pro. Even the Mac Mini is pretty solid right now. Well done Apple. They are the best computer company at this moment.
The base model 13″ sure has come a long way… I’m happy with my 2015 max spec’d 15″ MacBook Pro, but it’s good to know that the lowest spec’d most recent 13″ is actually super capable now… Great video, Luke!
Is 8gb RAM enough or is it worth getting 16…?
Luke, you should do a video for video editing and gaming, AND THEN ADD AN EGPU 😎
Edit: nothing too hardcore, go for a RX 580 or 590.
Nah i will stuck on my Macbook Pro 13 ich Late 2013 with 8 GB Ram.
Wait for 2 to 3 years i’ll tink.
I would be very interested in seeing how this laptop performs with Unity (game engine)
some Minecraft for the Redditors
It is 2019 how the hell they did not include AMD GPU in all of them? Intel UHD is crap
I wouldn’t mind the fans revving up, if they help keep the machine cool. After all, they’re just doing what they’re supposed to do. And they’re small. So they need to spin quite fast in order to cool down that CPU, leading to…noise. That’s perfectly normal. To me, that noise is to be expected, and it’s not really an issue. I prefer it, rather than having thermal issues because those fans don’t spin. Or don’t spin as fast as they should. Apple is known for compromising on essential things, such as proper cooling, for esthetics, or to keep the machine quiet rather than cool. Having both would of course be ideal. But more often than not, Apple seems to prefer having quiet operation rather than cooling down the machine so it can perform better and for a longer time.
Meanwhile at apple.com/benl: Starting price for a MBA €1249. And for the mbp €1499. Sigh, ah well never could afford brand new Macs’ anyway.
Let’s wait for the T2 to show it’s ugly face. Or not. I wait with the upgrade until I hear more about problems with T2. Or lack thereof…
Should i buy the base model of the touchar 2018?(256 gb) or but the new base model of the pro 2019(touch bar and 128gb)
