I just bought the 256gb version and I am honestly in love with the design, and touch bar. However, I will admit the fans are LOUD. I upgraded from a 2017 rose gold MacBook and it had no fans. It made absolutely no noise. So going from that, to this. Wow. It is really loud…
128gb was a nightmare to deal with when i had it with my mba, always micro managing files swapping folders in and out with my portable drive. and that was back in 2014. can’t imagine dealing with 128gb in today’s environment. for that reason alone i do not recommend the base model.
Thank you
128gigs 🙁 over priced !
The base model.of 128gb is eeeehhhhh not enough even my phone is bigger in storage.
How long do you think this laptop will last when used by a college student?
My yoga 910 is better than this… People who buy apple literally want to be robbed. It’s not 2001, windows machines are far superior and less expensive for better components. If you’re reading this WAKE up. 128 GB SSD.. That is literally criminal, as you can purchase those for so cheap now.
Luke I always enjoy your videos. But I will say this. I still think it looks kind of dated look wise. Theses huge besels needs to go..
so is it worth buying the 1.7 ghz i7 or is the 1.4ghz i5 enough..?
can you verify zone of tech s claims of a #cpugate with the t2 chip models? he claims that the problem is with the arm cpu that apple has introduced which is causing problems..
Do some gaming test, and aome battery life. Thanks for video, just subscribed (y)
Are you sure that there won’t be any new base MacBook Pro this year?
The fact that we’re almost 3 years out since the introduction of the touchbar and NO ONE has shown a good reason for why it even exists just further reassures my discontent with it. Hopefully it’s gone in the next redesign and we actually get a touch display and real function buttons again. Nice review Luke.
“Under the hood” of a MacBook 😂
compare it to similarly priced ultrabooks.
Damn this thing is faster than my 15 inch MBP from 2016 in all aspects, crazy from a baseline model at 13 inches. May have to finally switch back to a 13 inch for both home and away work, just snag an eGPU for the really heavy workloads. Only issue I have is the fan noise, I think it’s only one fan which is probably the reason for it but hopefully it won’t be too bad if I’m editing in Proxy with an eGPU whether at home or on the go. Just wish it had 2 fans or offered the 1.4ghz on the upgraded model, I’d be down for that no problem. (and the extra ports are nice)
That’s not the cheapest MacBook Pro. The non TouchBar MacBook Pro’s are the cheapest
He right. We should waiting new Macbook in December, and in 2020
But…still why would u buy this laptop?
Do i buy macbook air gold or space grey
