If you want 16gb ram and 512 gb storage the 14” MacBook Pro may be a better choice. Better screen and much better connectivity for $300 more.

Great computer, but I had to move on to the 14” MBP from my M1 air. Just a better computer and way better screen for hundreds more after bumping up specs on the air.. For me it was a no brainer.

A simple laptop stand with fans solve any overheating or throttling issues. Not a big deal. Get the 16gb if possible and do not worry about the 256Gb storage. You can add external storage. Run the Operating System and Applications from the internal SSD and keep all media on the external storage. The 15″ MacBook Air is the perfect MacBook in my opinion.

As always, I agree. This is a killer laptop for the money. And now you can get the M1 MacBook Airs for even less and they’re still very good.

i have a 2016 touch bar macbook pro and i realized over the years i really didn’t need a pro. the 13 inch air is perfect for me because not only does it meet my day to day needs it’s also more portable than my current macbook pro. this 15 inch air on the other hand is actually heavier than my current macbook pro.

Can you show a physical comparison between this laptop and the intel Macbook Pro 15″? I imagine a lot of people, including myself, are upgrading or planning to upgrade from the 15 inch pros (I need at least 15″ in screen, 14 is too small, but 16 seemed way too heavy and I don’t need all that power)

I love seeing people get excited about new Apple products again, it’s been a long time. I’d probably still go with the MacBook Pro 14″ but at least Apple is listening to the masses and starting to give the people what they want!

How well does it fit on a tray on an airplane in coach? My flight last night did not seem like it would accommodate a bigger screen than my M1 MBA, especially after the seat in front of me reclined their seat to the maximum.
